HILIFE LIVE VS CHRIS TROTTER | Wanna See A Dead Body? |

Wanna see a dead body?  It’s been a while since I’ve seen a definite body-bag.  The drought is over.  What we have here is a massive beat down of mammoth proportions.

In terms of Chris Trotter this battle, the never-ending first round was almost forfeiting, the stumbles and manic screaming that took place in the second was worse and the third might have been his saving grace were it not for the stinging rebuttal from Live about “laying down with that heat next to you…”.  He was able to get a few schemes in here and there with quite a few that were obviously recycled at times.  He needed more heavy landing punches intermingled throughout his rounds and material that hasn’t been utilized before.  He went WAY too long in the first and effectively watered down his entire round (Kool-Aid is no good if you add too much water).  His performance is a strong point and his penmanship is definitely at a level that shows he can compete if he can scrutinize his material a bit more and shy away from the excessive yelling at times.  The bars should speak for themselves.

This is a powerful performance by Live.  Each round was filled with top notch material fit for the main stage.  This is no exaggeration.  Live is a southern variation of Danny Myers.  If he can keep his rounds punch heavy with top tier lyrics it won’t be long until he’s expanding way beyond the small room.  The only critique I have of Live this battle and his last that dropped, for that matter is the closing.  About 2 1/2 years ago I spoke with Danny Myers personally on the phone and I told him about the power of his closer.  “And Even Though He Already On the Ground…” and “YiKes!”, if said by him enough and seen by enough people, it would gain popularity and familiarity with his fan base.  It’s a branding ploy; a completely unique and distinguishing factor someone can relate directly to you.

BUT YOU LOOK IN YOUR PLACE WHERE YOU SHOULD BE – AND I AIN’T SPITTIN IN YO’ FACE, BUT I COULD BE!!!

That needs to be heard every battle.  Any battle without that it is a missed branding opportunity.
